Undernutrition is a condition that occurs when a person’s diet does not contain the right amount of nutrients. Undernutrition among children and pregnant women can lead to children being underweight, stunted, low body mass, etc. This severely affects the immunity system and restricts growth and development in them.

Some of the main causes of malnutrition are:
• Poor intake of nutritious food by pregnant women and mothers
• Ignorance of health and nutrition and poor healthy practices
• Poor intake of balanced diet by children
• Intake of junk/ fast food
