Let’s Discuss! Mukhyamantri Bakaya Bijlee Bill Mafi Scheme

The Madhya Pradesh government has announced an outstanding power bill waiver scheme for labourers and poor families. Under the Chief Minister Jan Kalyan (Sambhal Yojana) 2018, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan initiated the Mukhyamantri Bakaya Bijlee Bill Mafi Scheme in Madhya Pradesh.

Under this scheme, registered labourers of the unorganised sector and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families with over worth Rs 5,179 crore electricity bills will be waived off till which covers the time spawn under June 2018. In addition, a certificate of the bill will also be given. For this, the beneficiary will have to fill the registration number and ID No/ BPL Card number in the application form. Registered workers are not required to submit the photocopy of the registration certificate. The beneficiary can submit their report in the nearest office of any Power Distribution Center.

In this scheme, all those beneficiaries will also be included who have cases registered against them under Section 126, 135 and 138 of the Electricity Act of any Power Distribution Company. If the name of the eligible beneficiary is mentioned in the Samagra ID as a member of the Power Consumers family, only then they will be given the benefit of "Mukhyamantri Bakaya Bijlee Bill Mafi Scheme".
