Call to Participate in Breastfeeding Cartoon Contest

Is your sketch pen your best friend? Do you have drawing skills to chalk out imagination on paper?
Then, showcase the cartoonist within you!

A good cartoon is an illustration which contains observation, sense of humour, sense of the ridiculous and contradiction – life, replica on a paper.

To mark World Breastfeeding Week, Women and Child Development Department, Madhya Pradesh is organizing a cartoon contest to promote and support breastfeeding practice in favour of child growth and development issues. The theme for the contest is Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life.

Breastfeeding gives babies the best start for a healthy life. Breast milk contains important nutrients to protect and build the baby’s immature immune system.

So, pick up a pencil and paper to showcase your unique power of imagination. Let the cartoonist in you create a new perspective of breastfeeding that could only exist through illustration.

The top three winners will be given Rs 5000/-, Rs 3000/- and Rs 2000/- respectively.

Terms & Conditions:

● Participant’s name, district, email address along with phone number must be submitted.
● The last date for final submission is August 15, 2018.
● Any resident of the state can participate in this competition.
● Only one entry per person will be accepted.
● The contest is open for both professional and non-professional.
● Please mention your category while submitting an entry.
● The participant must be 18+ years of age.
● Please upload your submission on an A3 size and in colour.
● Please provide a proof that the cartoon is self-composed by writing your name on the creation.
● Please upload the submission in PDF format.
● Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.

● All entries would be judged by a committee constituted by the Women and Child Development Department. The decision of the committee would be final.
● The selected entry and its copyright will be the property of the department and any changes deemed fit to improve the same will be undertaken.
● By registering for participation in the contest, the participant(s) warrant that:
a) They have complied with the entry conditions;
b) Their entries are original;
c) Their entry does not infringe any Intellectual Property Rights of any third party.
