On October 2, 2019, India will be celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of our ‘Father of the Nation’. On this occasion, the State Agency for Public Services (SAPS), is organizing an essay writing competition on the topic ‘Democracy and Mahatma Gandhi’ on the portal mp.mygov.in. The competition is being held with an aim to remind people of the thoughts and virtues of Mahatma Gandhi.

Enthusiastic citizens can participate in this online competition by submitting their entries at https://mp.mygov.in/. The contest remains open from September 19, 2019 to October 10, 2019.

The best five entries will be awarded certificate of appreciation

The best entries and winner in the competition will be selected by a committee formed by the State Public Service Agency (SAPS). The decision adjudged by the committee will be final and binding.

Terms and Conditions of the competition:
• While submitting entries, first mention the main subject name, followed by the article, the participant’s name, district name, address, email address and phone number.
• More than one entry by the same participant will not be accepted.
• Participants willing to send entries must be registered on mp.mygov.in portal.
• Entries through any other means will not be validated.
• Every Indian citizens can be a part of the contest.
• All entries will be accepted online only.
• Word limit for the essay (Hindi and English): Maximum 300 words.
• Entries will be revoked if the selection of the subject is not in consistency.
• Entries will be selected by the Expert Panel.
• The entry should not contain any provocative/offensive words.
• All copyright of the selected entry will be from MP MyGov, State Public Service Agency (SAPS), Madhya Pradesh and reserve the right to make any changes in it.
• All participants must ensure:
a) They have complied with all the terms of entry.
b) Their entries are original and not plagiarized.
c) Their entries do not violate the intellectual property rights of any third party.

उनके विचारों में लोकतंत्र के प्रति उनकी निष्ठा उजागर होती है। उनके विचारों को विश्व के सभी देशों ने माना। हमें उनके विचारों और आदर्शो को अपनाना चाहिए जो कि लोकतत्र के आधार है जिस पर लोकतंत्र टिका है और जो इसकी आत्मा है।

भारत को दुनिया के सबसे बड़े लोकतंत्र के रूप में जाना जाता है और जिसके आदर्शो और सिद्धांतों पर यह लोकतंत्र खड़ा है वह महात्मा गांधी है। गांधी जी समाज के सभी वर्गो को समान अधिकार के पच्चधर थे वे समतावादी विचारधारा के समर्थक थे गांधी जी के विचारों से ही लोकतंत्र का सार है। वे सभी वर्गो के सामाजिक आर्थिक विकास पर बल देते थे। वे हिंसा के खिलाफ थे तथा स्वार्थ सिद्धि की भी खिलाफत करते थे वे प्रेम को लोकतंत्र का आधार मानते थे जिसके लिए भाईचारे की भावना पर बल देते थे।

राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी जी के सिद्धांतों से ही देश में लोकतंत्र क़ायम है।उनके द्वारा बताए गए सत्य एवं अहिंसा के सिद्धांत से ही विश्व शान्ति का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो सकता है।विश्व के कई देशों के टुकड़े हो गए हैं लेकिन गाँधी जी के बताए मार्ग पर चलने के कारण ही हमारा देश आज भी अखंड है।गाँधी जी का कहना था कि अहिंसा और नैतिक शुद्धता में विश्वास न होने के कारण पश्चिम के राज्यों में नाममात्र का लोकतंत्र है।गाँधी जी प्रेम को लोकतंत्र का सच्चा आधार मानते थे।गाँधी जी ने लोकतंत्र की असली शक्ति पर बल दिया।

लोकतंत्र औऱ महात्मा गांधी
राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी जी ने भारत में एक शक्तिशाली और स्वस्थ लोकतंत्र के लिए आबादी के सभी वर्गो की सहभागिता की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया था।उन्होंने लिखा है लोकतंत्र का सार वास्तव में विभिन्न वर्गों के लोगों के समस्त शारिरिक, आर्थिक और आध्यात्मिक संसाधनों को सर्व कल्याण के लिए जुटाने की कला और विज्ञान है।
यह आम धारणा है कि विश्व में सर्वप्रथम राजतंत्र का जन्म हुआ है और उसका विकसित रूप लोकतंत्र है।भारत दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोकतांत्रिक देश है।राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी
