'Deepawali' A festival which shows the desire to go from darkness to light…

Deepawali is not a one-day festival, but for us it is a group of many festivals, so we call it festive season, which we celebrate with lot of excitement, joy, happiness and glee. We also call it 'festival of light' because it happily lightens our life and publishes the good in us. This festival symbolises the victory of hope on evil, light on darkness, wisdom on ignorance and hopelessness.

There are so many colors of happiness and glee in this festival but today this festival has only become a symbol of noise and harmful smoke of the firecrackers. The noise and air pollution caused by them is very harmful not only for us but also for our entire environment.

So this time let us celebrate Deepawali without polluting the environment and being Eco-friendly. Keeping this idea in mind, the Environment Planning and Coordination Organisation (EPCO) is organising a competition this year to celebrate 'Pollution-free Deepawali Festival' which will definitely be a meaningful initiative in the direction of pollution free and healthy environment.

So how you are going to celebrate this Deepawali without harming the environment, keeping in mind the motto of Pollution-Free Deepawali, which can provide a real meaning to the word 'Green Deepawali' and set an example to the society to be Eco-friendly? The objective of the campaign is to encourage general masses to celebrate pollution-free Diwali. Share your IDEA with us.

We all know that Diwali is a festival of light and as we know we all are effected by air pollution so this year. I celebrated diwali by lighting lamps and showing a little banyan tree plant .And I suggested everybody to celebrate diwali every year like me 'THANKYOU VERY MUCH'.

“Be the Change You Wish to see in the world” (Mahatma Gandhi)
If you really want India to be clean, keep yourself clean first and then your surroundings.Every household generates waste or garbage. It should not be thrown anywhere and everywhere, but in trash bins only. If you throw it anywhere instead of throwing it in bin, then it will pollute the environment. The playground is a place where a lot of people visit. So it should be kept clean.People should not litter rubbish on ground.
