National Green Core- Eco Club Program: Adopt Green Habits

Environment is the basis of our lives. In order to survive and ensure that the future is green, it is solely our responsibility to protect the environment. Not just protect the environment but its natural resources along with keeping our surroundings clean.

Efforts have to be made to spread awareness and educate citizens and especially the children about environment protection and the need to reuse the available natural resources. It is also important to sensitize the society about the importance of developing green habits in our day-to-day lives.

Keeping this in view, the National Green Core Program is being organized in the entire nation by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. Along with all the states of the country, this program is being successfully run through Eco Clubs in 250 (per district) selected schools in all the 51 districts of the state.

The main objectives of the National Green Core Program are:-
● To sensitize children to issues related to environment and development
● To provide children environment education opportunities
● To encourage young minds to be the agents of change for creating awareness in the society towards environment
● To ensure participation of students in decision-making of environmental and social development issues

The Environment Planning and Coordination Organization (EPCO), Madhya Pradesh is organizing a competition to promote green initiatives taken by the eco clubs in all selected schools of the state as 'Program of Green Good Habits'. The main purpose of this competition is to evaluate and promote the work and innovation done by eco clubs in the schools for conservation of the environment. For this the schools have to submit their work done with reference to the eco clubs of their school in form of videos and images to MP MyGov portal, which will be judged by a panel of experts from EPCO.

The top three winning clubs will be awarded Rs 5000/-, Rs 3000/- and Rs 2000/- respectively. Two consolation prizes of Rs 1000/- each will also be given.

Terms & Conditions:
1. All the entires have to be submitted on www.mp.mygov.in & to participate the participants have to register them-self on MPMyGov portal.
2. The competition is open to only selected schools under the ‘National Green Core- Eco Club Program’.
3. The following information is mandatory:
● All participating schools must fill all the information in the form provided under the National Green Core Eco Club Program.
● It is compulsory to verify the form with the school principal and upload a copy of it to MPMyGov.
● It is compulsory to upload photographs of the activities given on the MP MyGov in the form.
4. For video link or photo sharing, please provide the following information:
● Name :
● Name of the school:
● "Description of activities operated by the school (in short): __________________
5. To submit your entry in video format, upload your video of the work done on YouTube / Facebook and share its URL / LINK in the in the comment box of the contest. The video obtained through any other medium apart from YouTube/Facebook will not be considered for evaluation.

6. The best video entry will be published on the MP MyGov Portal and its associated social media platforms.
7. The entries sent by all schools should be original and no third party's intellectual property rights should be violated.
8. Any material or any element in the video should not be illegal.
9. There should not be any unconstitutional elements in the video content.
10. All entries will be selected by EPCO and the decision of the panel must be final.
11. Please send your submission by February 17, 2019.
12. Executive Director, EPCO will hold exclusive rights on the video and any changes deemed fit to improve the same will be undertaken.
