The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with MP MyGov urges the citizens to share their views on flood safety measures; so that flood protection measures can be made better and safer in the state.

We know that natural calamities like floods can happen at any time and these disasters are sometimes so frightening and huge that it becomes impossible to stop. But small precautionary measures in such disasters can help us to a great extent in protecting ourselves. For example-

During Flood...
✦ Do not panic and inform about the waterlogging on emergency toll-free number 100, 1079, 108.
✦ Stay at a safe distance from the river banks.
✦ Take special care of children, women and the elderly.
✦ Do not cross the bridge if there is water and avoid unnecessary commute.
✦ Do not take selfies near culvert /tunnel/ rock.
✦ Do not go for a picnic in places where there is a high velocity of water.
✦ Residents of rural areas should not go to far distances to graze cattle during the rains.
✦ Rural people must keep emergency items like air filled tubes, ropes, torches, bamboo, whistles etc. in their homes.

The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF), Madhya Pradesh is continuously working towards preventing disasters, ensuring the safety of people at the time of disaster and towards improving the security measures in the state.

The State Disaster Emergency Response Force, Madhya Pradesh invites your suggestions for public awareness on precautionary and protective measures during a disaster like a flood.

बाढ़ का पानी आबादी तक न पहुंच सके कुछ ऐसा प्रयास करें
इसके लिए बढ़ी नदियों का छोटी-छोटी नदियों से जोड़ दिया जाए ।

बहते पानी में पैदल न चले। ६ इन्च (आधा फुट) पानी में आप गिर के बेह जा सकते हैं।
पानी में डूबा रास्ते में गाड़ी न चलाये। कोइ दूसरा रास्ता ढुडें। एक फुट पानी में आप गाड़ी पे नियन्त्रन खो सकते हैं।
बढ़ते पानी में आपकी गाड़ी अगर रुक जाये तो तुरंत गाड़ी छोड़ के ऊंचे इलाके की और जाये।
गिरे हुए बिजली के तार से बहुत सावधान रहे। अगर यह पानी में गिर जायें तो उस पानी में हर वय्क्ति मौत का शिकार हो सकता है। घर में डूबे हुये बिजली के तार से भी यह खतरा सकता है,

5) plant, lagaye jaye nadi kinare
6) nadi, nalo ke bahav chetra ka river map database
Banaya jaye, doplar radar ka use kiya jaye
7) water conservation ke liye school, College
Gov. Office, university, private school Mai awerenes program chalaya jaye
8) flood wali naale, river ko two parts Mai divide kre jisse bahav ki power kam ho

नदी,तालाबो व नहरो को गहरा किया जाए,तथा उनको हर तरफ से ऊँची मेंढ़ बनाकर सुरक्षित किया जाए। बाढ़ प्रभावित क्षैत्रो के लोगो को उचित प्रशिक्षण दिया जाए ताकि आपातकाल मे सहायता मिलने तक वे खुद व दूसरो को सुरक्षा दे सके।My suggestion is to build Dam according to length of all such rivers. For small rivers connecting canals can be built to avoid flood like situations.

My suggestion is to build Dam according to length of all such rivers. For small rivers connecting canals can be built to avoid flood like situations.
