The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with MP MyGov urges the citizens to share their views on flood safety measures; so that flood protection measures can be made better and safer in the state.

We know that natural calamities like floods can happen at any time and these disasters are sometimes so frightening and huge that it becomes impossible to stop. But small precautionary measures in such disasters can help us to a great extent in protecting ourselves. For example-

During Flood...
✦ Do not panic and inform about the waterlogging on emergency toll-free number 100, 1079, 108.
✦ Stay at a safe distance from the river banks.
✦ Take special care of children, women and the elderly.
✦ Do not cross the bridge if there is water and avoid unnecessary commute.
✦ Do not take selfies near culvert /tunnel/ rock.
✦ Do not go for a picnic in places where there is a high velocity of water.
✦ Residents of rural areas should not go to far distances to graze cattle during the rains.
✦ Rural people must keep emergency items like air filled tubes, ropes, torches, bamboo, whistles etc. in their homes.

The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF), Madhya Pradesh is continuously working towards preventing disasters, ensuring the safety of people at the time of disaster and towards improving the security measures in the state.

We can have constant touch with desaster department and meterological department to prevent the village people from loss of life , farms , homes etc.

Elevate your furnace, water heater and electric panel in your home if you live in an area with a high flood risk
Consider installing “check valves” to prevent floodwater from backing up into the drains of your home
If possible, construct barriers to stop floodwater from entering your home and seal basement walls with waterproofing compounds

कई जगह्यही देखने मे आया है कि शहरों की प्लानिंग ही बरसात को बाढ़ का रूप दे रही है एक पर कुदरत के आगे मानव की किसी तरह की नहीं चलती है परंतु लगातार जीवन के संधर्ष मे मानव जाति ने प्रत्येक आपदा का आमना मजबूती से लड़ कर किया है जिसमे की आज के परिदृश्य मे मानव टेक्जनोलॉजि से भी लेस है साथ के साथ शिक्षित समाज आपदाओं से लड़ते है नही समाज को संभालते भी है

Badh ak natural aapda hai jo kabhi bhi aa sakti hai isse bachne ke liye badh grast chetra se door apna ghar banay agar aapka ghar badh grast chetra mai hai to isse bhi bacha ja sakta hai yadi aapka ghar badh grast chetra mai hai to agar tej baris ho rahi ho to badh aane ki sambhavna jyada hota hai agar kabhi aisa hota hai to aap apne ghar se nikalkar kisi uche sthan mai chale jaye jahan badh ka pani na pahuch sake or yad rahe apne jaruri saman sath le jayen bas itna hi sujhav hai
